Encouraging Kids Family Resource Center
PARENT - CHILD GROUPS
From first smile, to first steps, to first day of kindergarten; there are so many milestones to cherish with your young child. This can also be a very difficult and isolating time for parents however. Attend one of our professionally facilitated morning playgroups one, two, or three days a week to meet other parents, find support and encouragement, and make friends.
Parenting can be an enormously rewarding, difficult, joyous, and frustrating experience in the best of circumstances. Today's parents face additional challenges that require new and innovative approaches.
Join us for any of our workshops or classes where we can help you create a calmer, more cooperative relationship with your children. We have programs that focus on parents of infants & toddlers through teens. Our belief is that when parents know better, they do better.
Is your child struggling in school? Are you thinking of having your child evaluated for a learning disability or behavioral concern? Does your child already have an IEP (Individual Education Plan), 504 Plan, or I&RS (Intervention & Referral Services) plan?
Navigating this difficult, confusing process can be overwhelming at times. We can help by reviewing your child's records, making recommendations, and accompanying you to school meetings as needed. Our advocates have decades of experience working with schools, families, and students and our rates are very affordable.
We offer supervised visitation for non-custodial parents and their children when there is an order from Family Court. This program provides a safe, secure, neutral environment where non-custodial parents and children can visit together. Trained staff and volunteers support and monitor these family visits. Our Supervised Visitation Program offers varied schedules to accommodate parents and children weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Our staff and child-friendly spaces offer a comfortable environment for positive interaction. On-site visitations are held in our Mercer county, NJ offices. Additional arrangements can be made for off-site visitation such as a park or restaurant throughout NJ, NY, and Eastern PA.
Many teachers, school staff, daycare providers, etc. must meet certain Continuing Education requirements and/or complete a certain number of Professional Development hours each year. Our offering of classes and workshops are fun, very affordable, and centrally located in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, NJ. We are also available to come to your location. Approved Professional Development certificates provided.
